1. a strong desire for, or impulse to wander or travel and explore the world

1

Panama City, Florida

In August of 2016, we took a road trip down to Panama City and met up with a lot of my dad's family.  We had a big house right on the beach. Oh, what a joy the whole week was.

2

Yellowstone National Park

I also got the opportunity to go on another road trip to Yellowstone National Park in the summer of 2016.  It was an unforgettable experience with amazing family friends.

3

Houston, Texas

The summer of 2017, my sweet friend and I made a spontaneous decision to visit some of her family in Houston, Texas.  It was such a fun and relaxing time.

4

Savannah, Georgia

The spring of my senior year I got the honor to go with my mom on a business trip to Savannah, Georgia.  It was such a neat opportunity to serve alongside my mom in her job and explore the city.

Why I like Traveling

My first taste of really traveling was when I was 11 years-old.  My cousin was getting married in Monrovia, California, so my grandparents paid for me and my family to all go out west.  Oh, what a spark the trip lit inside me.  Everything from the adrenaline of my first plane ride to the quiet nights surrounded by family outside under the same sky that was back home.  I can recall being so fascinated by the fact that the same sky covered all the earth, and more impressively the same God governed it.  How cool is that to think about? Anyway, this thought fueled my desire to see more of God's beautiful creation, to experience more cultures, and meet more people from all different backgrounds - to expand my horizons.

I love to travel by plane or by car, but when I fly I get excited, and I mean excited like a little child on Christmas morning.  There is just something about the speed and height that make me feel adventurous.  I talk about on my faith page about Jesus being my rock (click for more information), so you'll hear me talk about him a lot.  He is another reason I love flying because I always feel just a little closer to Him.  I realize that His Holy Spirit dwells in

me, and nothing can get much closer than that, but my

innocent self on that first plane ride got this feeling that I

could almost touched God himself, and since then, the feeling

sticks.

Lastly, I am a HUGE people person.  Man, you put me in

a room with a complete stranger and I bet we can, or

more like will, become friends.  You probably know this

already, but there are so many different and beautifully

unique individuals out there that I want to meet and I can't

meet them if I just stay hidden in my little world (even though

I do love it and the people in it with all my heart).

I hope to keep traveling, to keep an open mind to different

places and people, and to keep fueling my desire to learn

more about Jesus while I do so.

Bucket list

So are you a wanderlust? Join the club.

Since you and I have so much in common, or more like since we both have a desire to travel the world, I thought it might be fun to make a bucket list of the top destinations we want to see or journeys we want to experience.  For example, I want visit all 50 states.  So far, I've only visited 19 states.  Some more journeys I want to do include a spontaneous road trip across the beautiful states with just a backpack of clothes, a tent, and my best friend (who will hopefully also be my husband).

Anyway, my top destinations I want to visit include:

1) Greece

2) The Caymen Islands

3) Australia

4) The Azores, Portugal

5) France

I would love to hear your top five destinations and maybe add them to my bucket list, so below in the prayer request box just type up that bucket list... just do it!
